MEET THE TEAM

The Peppertree Restaurant is owned by three brothers.

We pride ourselves on being Shire grown and world class trained to bring Gymea the best possible value in modern fine dining.

We are always looking for the best and freshest local ingrediants and compliment that with great coffee,  wine spirits and beverage.

We work so that the food and refreshment we serve up to your table puts a smile on your face.

Thanks for stopping by.

Daniel

Senior CHEF

Daniel like his brothers has grown up in Jannali and Sutherland and playing sport around The Shire. He has over 10 years experience in fine dining and catering. His experience spans across Sydney CBD establishments such as Bambini Trust and Etch by Becasse and locally at Summer Salt.

Daniel also likes motorbike riding and discovering new dining experiences. Some of his favourites are, Melbourne alleyways, Great Ocean Road, Mildura and The Barossa. Interantionally Italian Piazzas and Croatian waterfront cafes are also some of his inspirations.

Thomas

Senior CHEF

Thomas has over 8 years experience and comes from an inner Sydney pedigree of modern fine dining of Paddington and Surry Hills. He specialises in mouth watering salads, baked sweets and creative deserts like his coffee brulee, fluffy pastries, cheesecake doughnut, beer ice cream (this not a typo and you have to try it to believe it).

When he's not opening The Peppertree for breakfast Tom is a local  bodyboarder at Island in Cronulla. He also loves Melbourne and New York for finding great new places to eat.

Mathew

Barista and Licensee

Mathew is the Licensee and manages the front of house. Besides his amazing coffees and teas he also makes great cocktails and a brilliant coffee martini.

Mat loves basketball and has represented The Sutherland Sharks throughout his teens. He has played and travelled in Europe and USA.

Come and say hello and ask him what he thinks of European and American coffee or their basketball players.
